Songkhla

Went to a beach of small town in Songkhla :)

There's this map showing us the place of interests around there.

The most well-known symbol of Songkhla Province is this statue of the Golden Mermaid. It was based on a thai legend saying that there's this mermaid who likes to comb her hair on the beach, but was frightened away by a young fisherman, who in turn waited forever for her return.

There's also a local legend saying that by rubbing the mermaid's breasts produces good luck! - but i didn't do it lah *big eyes*

I'm sure the picture of the statue would be nicer if it's taken in the morning or afternoon. The golden mermaid somehow looks more like a 'haunted mermaid' at night! Feel the same? :/

Don't leave rubbish, leave footprints! Haha.

Also, bought some souvenirs from there. Very cute pens & keychains! Keeping the pink hearted pen for myself ♥


Had our dinner there too. Late dinner.
It's a seafood restaurant nearby the beach called Nai Wan.
